The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, said that in Russia, they have begun to prepare their society for the use of nuclear weapons.

The head of state told the BBC about this.

"They (Russians - ed.) are starting to prepare their society.

It's very dangerous

. They're not ready to do it, to use (nuclear weapons - ed.). But they're starting to communicate. They don't know if they'll use it or not. I think it's dangerous to even talk about it," Zelensky said.

He also denied all objections to calls for pre-emptive strikes against Russia during an online event on October 6.

The president explained that the Russians misunderstood one word that he pronounced in Ukrainian.

"After this translation, the Russians did their own thing, as they saw fit, and started rebroadcasting in other directions," Zelenskyy added.

Nuclear blackmail of Russia

Russia has been blackmailing both Ukraine and the West with its nuclear weapons for months.

The situation with Russian nuclear weapons is constantly monitored by the USA, NATO and other Ukrainian allies.

As of October 6, the Pentagon reported that the US has not yet seen any signs that Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

On the same day, US President Joe Biden announced that the world is the closest thing to a nuclear catastrophe in the last 60 years.

He emphasized that the use of nuclear weapons would lead to Armageddon.
