The occupiers, who see the successes of the Ukrainian army, are trying to prepare defenses in Kreminnaya and Svatovo in the Luhansk region.

The Russians took engineering equipment there.

This was reported by the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Cherevaty, on the air of the Espresso TV channel.

According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the villages during the past day "During the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the village of Hlushkivka in the Kharkiv region and the village of Grekivka in the Luhansk region.

"Now the counteroffensive operation in the East of Ukraine continues.

The enemy is intensively preparing Kreminna and Svatov for defense.

They are bringing civil and military engineering equipment there," Serhiy Cherevaty emphasized.

He also added that the Ukrainian artillery, which strikes and reduces the effectiveness of the enemy's forces, prevents the Russians from preparing for defense.

Counteroffensive of the Armed Forces 

As of October 7, the Ukrainian military continues its counteroffensive in two directions: in the Kharkiv and Kherson regions.

Territories in Luhansk region are also being de-occupied.

At the same time, the occupiers are making active attempts to break the Ukrainian defense along the Horlivka-Bakhmut-Pisky line.

However, the enemy does not have much success.
