The until recently chairman of Mladezhi GERB and former Deputy Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev will become a deputy, after Ivan Mihovski and Ivan Grncharov, who were ahead of him by preferential votes in Lovech, gave up their parliamentary seats.

The CEC confirmed to "Ofnews" that the applications of Mihovski and Gruncharov were approved today.

In Lovech, Georg Georgiev received only 295 preferential votes, Mihovski - 1457, and Grncharov - 1223. According to the total number of votes of GERB in Lovech, 905 votes are needed to rearrange the list.

Ivan Mihovski and Ivan Gruncharov are in the third and fifth positions, but they have a sufficient number of preferences to displace Georg Georgiev.

Georgiev is also in fourth position in the list of GERB for 24 MIR Sofia, but there the party receives only three mandates and the first three enter the National Assembly - Toma Bikov, Raya Nazaryan and Evgenia Alexieva.

With the refusal of Mihovski and Grncharov from the parliamentary seat, Georg Georgiev takes the second mandate of GERB in Lovech.

After today's meeting of the electoral commission, the application of GERB leader Boyko Borisov to resign from the parliamentary seat was also approved.

Borisov refuses to be a people's representative from two regions - in 25 MIR Sofia and 16 MIR Plovdiv.

During his party's first briefing after the election, Borissov announced his intention not to become an MP, minister or prime minister.

Boyko Borisov will not be a deputy in the 48th parliament either

Earlier today, the application of the former transport minister Nikolay Sabev, who led the list of "We continue the change" in Ruse, was also accepted by the CEC.
