The Greek Coast Guard reported two sunken boats.

One of them was discovered near the eastern island of Lesbos.

About 40 people were on it.

It was possible to find 15 bodies of the dead.

Others are considered missing.

Up to 95 people were on board the boat that crashed off the coast of Kythera with very steep cliffs.

The majority - 80 - have already been rescued, the rescue operation continues with the participation of state and volunteer organizations.

The authorities have not yet announced what caused the accident.

Rescue operations are ongoing at the scene.
