Since October 1, more than half a thousand square kilometers of territory and dozens of settlements were liberated and stabilized in Kherson region.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said this in his traditional video address in the evening of October 6.

According to him, there are

successes in the Eastern direction as well.

"The day will surely come when we will

report on the successes in the Zaporizhzhia region

- in those areas that are still under the control of the occupiers. The day will come when we will also say about the

liberation of Crimea

. This prospect is obvious. It is also obvious that this way there is still a lot to be done. There is still a lot to be endured, a lot to be done. To be done for both Ukrainians and our partners - all who value freedom and international law," the head of state said.

Zelenskyi also informed international partners about the latest manifestations of Russian terror.

In particular, about missile strikes on Zaporizhzhia and other cities of Ukraine and about the

use of Iranian drones.

"For some reason, Iran claims that we do not have them. People see them in the sky. We shoot them down. And we are told that they are allegedly not there. Well,

we will find ways to make sure that they are not really there,

" he concluded.

Attack of Ukraine by Iranian drones

The occupiers are increasingly using Iranian drones, which began to perform the function of Calibers, for attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine.

So, on the night of October 6, the Armed Forces shot down 9 Iranian drones.

Over the course of a day, on October 6, the Armed Forces shot down five drones launched by the Russian occupiers.

The occupiers also attacked the city of Bila Tserkva in the Kyiv region with Iranian drones.

Because of this, there were fires.

Tehran still denies its cooperation with the aggressor state and the very fact of handing over the drones.
