Ukrainians have been standing on Russia's border with Latvia and Estonia for 2-6 days.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories.

"At special filtering points, the FSB checks Ukrainian citizens for the presence of a Russian passport. According to our information, if a Ukrainian citizen does not have a Russian passport, he is allowed to leave. And if it is established that a Ukrainian citizen also has a Russian passport, then such a person is not issued from Russia," the message says.

At the same time, if a citizen is registered in Crimea, but does not have a Russian passport, he is allowed to cross the border and freely cross the checkpoint.

This fact is also confirmed by representatives of Ukrainian consular institutions in Estonia and Latvia.

"Volunteers help our citizens when crossing the border. They provide people with food, water, etc. Those who do not want or cannot wait are offered a free transfer to another checkpoint," the press service adds.

It will be recalled that the Minister of Internal Affairs of Estonia, Lauri Laenemets, also announced that Russia is blocking the passage of Ukrainian citizens on the border with Estonia.

According to the Estonian minister, a little more than a thousand people were waiting at the border from the Russian side, but they were put on trucks and taken to an unknown direction.
