The group of elite troops of the Russian Federation in the Kherson region on the right bank of the Dnieper suffered heavy losses, the occupiers faced a shortage of food and ammunition.

This was stated by the adviser of the Office of the President of Ukraine

Oleksiy Arestovych

in an interview with the Russian human rights defender Mark Feygin.

According to Arestovych, Putin's troops are unable to establish a stable connection through the Dnipro:

"There are broken crossings. They get, at best, when all the pontoon crossings have worked... a third or a quarter of the actual needs of the group."

The adviser to the head of the OPU stressed that the

invaders "drove the last combat-ready units there

- 25-30 BTG paratroopers, marines, special forces, remnants of motorized rifle units that can do something."

"We cut them off, and soon they will start to eat the last thing, they have no food. The logistics are constantly destroyed, which we constantly destroy. They throw in some canned goods at a minimum. They sat with this for a month. They ran out of supplies very quickly." , he explained.

Arestovych cited the statistics of the occupiers' losses in the Kherson region:

"I have data on their group.

They have almost 2,500 killed this month, exactly on the right bank. Of the 25,000 who were there

, one in ten is killed and two more wounded. The rest are malnourished and demoralized. This is the fate of the Kherson group , these are the last Russian elite personnel units that were there."

The adviser to the head of the OPU added that it would end very sadly for the Russian troops:

"The assault infantry, which they drove there, will now finish the last galosh... They will get stuck once or twice at some intermediate lines, but

in general they are finished. A classic military defeat, a disaster

."

We will remind you that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are developing a counteroffensive in the Kherson region.

Under the strikes of the Armed Forces, the Russian army left dozens of settlements.

Military experts do not deny that the Ukrainian military can repeat the successes of the recent counteroffensive in the Kharkiv direction.

Earlier, French General Dominique Trincan suggested that already in the fall, Ukrainian troops could recapture the entire right bank of the Dnieper in Kherson Oblast, including the regional center.
