As a result of the efforts of the Presidents of our countries, relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey continue to expand in every field, especially in the field of Energy.

According to APA's Istanbul correspondent, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf said this during his speech at the opening of the 2nd Azerbaijan-Turkey Energy Forum held in Istanbul.

He noted that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey changed the landscape of the region and made the two countries important actors in ensuring energy security in Eurasia.

"The importance of TAP, TANAP and the Southern Gas Corridor has increased against the backdrop of the energy crisis in Europe.

We plan to at least double the volume of natural gas supplied through the Southern Gas Corridor by 2027."

R. Najaf added that all these projects require huge investments and SOCAR will continue to invest in the brotherly country.

In addition, he emphasized that the potential of cooperation in the field of gas and oil between the two countries and with the participation of third countries is great.
