The settlement agreement
between
Hollywood actor
Alec Baldwin
and the husband of the deceased Ukrainian
cameraman Galina Hutchins
will not affect the course of the criminal case.
As the prosecutor's office explained, Baldwin still faces criminal charges.
"The proposed settlement of Matthew Hutchins' lawsuit against the producers of Rust, including Alec Baldwin, in the wrongful death case of Galina Hutchins will not affect the ongoing investigation by District Attorney Mary Carmack-Oltwiss or her final decision to file criminal charges and charges." - says the statement of the prosecutor's office, writes the New York Post.

It is noted that the deceased's husband, Hutchins, and Baldwin settled the civil suit.
Criminal lawsuits deal only with facts.
Prosecutors can file charges against Alec Baldwin if the facts and evidence point to a crime.
It will be recalled that on October 21 last year, Hollywood actor
Alec Baldwin
accidentally shot cameraman Galina Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souz.
For his part, Baldwin stated that he pointed the gun at Hutchins as directed, but that the weapon fired without pulling the trigger.
