[Reporter Liu Binquan / Nantou Report] After the Nanheng Highway of Provincial Highway 20 was reopened in May this year, the three Nanheng Mountains (Kuhanosin Mountain, Taguan Mountain, and Guanshanling Mountain) in Yushan National Park attracted mountain friends to visit, but recently climbed On the trail, you can see that the mountaineers can camp at will. Since there are Taiwanese black bears in Nanheng, the mountaineers should camp at the designated camping point Kuhanosin Mountain House and camp to avoid interfering with wild animals and maintain mountaineering safety. Violators are subject to the National Park Law. A maximum fine of 3,000 yuan can be imposed.

The Yushan National Park Management Office stated that some mountain friends may choose to camp on the trailhead trails to save time when they climb the Nanheng Mountains. The location of camping may interfere with the local ecology, especially in Nanheng, where black bears are also present. If the smell of cooking in the camp, it may attract wild animals and make it difficult to ensure the safety of mountaineering.

And after the Nanheng Sanshan is re-opened, the time and difficulty of climbing have been greatly reduced. Mountainers can directly climb back and forth when they arrive at the mountain entrance. The length of the trails on each mountain is about 1.5 to 3.5 kilometers. Stay in the Kuhanosin Mountain House, camp, or stay in the surrounding B&Bs or hotels in the Meishan area. Do not camp in the park at will.

Recently, the park staff and the police have also inspected together and found that some mountain friends camped at will. According to the National Park Law, if they camp outside the designated location without approval, the perpetrator can be fined 3,000 yuan. Mountain friends must not be careless.
