In the Chiaramonti museum on the territory of the Vatican, an angry tourist, whom the Italian media calls an American, smashed two ancient Roman busts.

The incident occurred after he was denied a meeting with the Pope.

This is reported by CNN.

The latest barbarian has wreaked havoc in the museum, which houses around 1,000 ancient statues and bills itself as one of the best collections of Roman portraits in the world.

The man was angry because he asked to meet Pope Francis but was told it was impossible.

Then he hit one of the statues and knocked it over.

While trying to escape, pursued by security agents, he knocked over another statue.

Two works of art were transferred to the restoration workshop of the museum.

According to the newspaper La Repubblica, one of the busts has a broken nose.

The man who damaged the works of art was caught by the Vatican police and handed over to the Italian authorities.

We will remind you that in Warsaw, a girl broke a bus window and splashed blood on other passengers because of unrequited love and a positive HIV test.
