Ukraine has concluded a contract for its supply to the armed forces.

The first systems will be in service at the beginning of 2023.

The former ambassador of Ukraine to Germany, Andriy Melnyk, said this during a telethon on the "1+1" TV channel.

"The three systems that we are talking about now will come step by step, starting from the beginning of next year. But this is also important, because when the Russians know that we will have these systems, when they understand that not only one city, but also other "objects will be protected, so our people can sleep more peacefully," Melnyk explained.

It will be recalled that Andriy Melnyk announced that

Ukraine signed a contract for the supply of modern IRIS-T air defense systems.

Note that the IRIS-T SLM system has a range of 40 kilometers and an altitude of up to 20 kilometers.

With the help of IRIS-T SLM, it is possible to shoot down combat aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, jet artillery, drones, anti-radar missiles.
