By the end of this year, an international center for nature monitoring and protection will be established in the Caspian region.

APA reports that this was reported by the press service of the Kalmyk State University of Russia.

Nine universities of the Caspian littoral countries have signed an agreement on the establishment of the International Center for Monitoring and Protection of Nature in the Caspian region.

Kalmyk State University initiated its creation.

The center will play the role of communication.

The monitoring platform will be in the directions of "Corridors and Extractive Enterprises", "Alternative energy sources and environmental protection", "Desertification problems in the Caspian region" and it is planned to be established by the end of the year.
