Winders Sianen, 34, was out fishing when he came across the elephant.

He suddenly rushed at Xianen.

The man realized that the only way to escape from the animal was to jump into the nearby river, which he did.

However, even there a tragic failure awaited him - he met another deadly enemy.

The crippled man began to scream for help.

Local residents heard his screams.

People helped Winders escape from the mouth of the reptile.
