On October 4, 2022, a telephone conversation was held between the foreign ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia at the initiative and participation of United States (USA) Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

According to the information given to APA by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on September 19, within the framework of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, the meeting between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia was organized by the US Secretary of State in New York, and on September 27, the national security adviser of the US President, Jake Sullivan, took part in Washington. of the meeting held between Hikmat Hajiyev, assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Armen Grigoryan, secretary of the Security Council of Armenia,and as a result of the meeting between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Brussels on August 31 with the participation of the President of the Council of the European Union Charles Michel, in accordance with the task given to the foreign ministers to prepare the text of the peace treaty, as a continuation of the negotiations between the foreign ministers of the two countries in Geneva on October 2, the US Secretary of State the said telephone conversation with his participation was highly appreciated.

During the telephone conversation, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov brought to attention the details of the meeting in Geneva.

During the Geneva meeting, it was emphasized that the negotiations on the text containing the elements of the peace agreement proposed by us will continue.

In accordance with the results of the Geneva meeting, the next meeting of the bilateral commission on delimitation in October and the call to conduct these issues within the framework of the commission was welcomed in order to eliminate the recent tension on the delimited border.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov once again expressed that Azerbaijan is committed to ensuring peace and stability in the region and is ready to sign a peace agreement.
