The enemy is trying to hold the temporarily captured territories, is concentrating its efforts on attempts to disrupt the active actions of the Armed Forces in certain directions, but, at the same time, is conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Avdiiv directions.

This was announced by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on October 4.

According to the command, the enemy is regrouping in these two directions.

"The enemy is shelling the positions of our troops along the entire contact line, conducting aerial reconnaissance. It is striking civilian infrastructure and the homes of civilians, violating the norms of international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of warfare," the General Staff reported.

During the day, the occupiers launched 5 missile strikes and one airstrike, carried out more than 15 shellings from rocket-propelled grenades. 

Objects and civilians in more than 12 settlements were damaged by enemy strikes, including: Kharkiv, Kramatorsk, Andriivka (Dnipropetrovsk region), Bakhmut, Zaliznychne, Voznesensk, and Prydniprovske.

Earlier, the General Staff reported on the success of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson Region and stated that the occupiers were abandoning everything out of fear and running away.

It will be recalled that the Russian oligarch and "Putin's cook" Prigozhin confirmed his involvement in the creation of the "Wagner" PMC.

Prigozhin made his statement after a video appeared on the Internet, where he is recruiting Russian recidivists, rapists and other prisoners in one of the colonies for the war in Ukraine.
