On October 4, the ambassadors of the member states of the European Union agreed on a new package of sanctions against Russia.

In particular, the list contains an item on limiting prices for Russian oil.

This was reported by journalist Rikard Jozvyak.

"EU ambassadors have finally agreed on new sanctions against Russia. Oil price caps are included. They should be officially adopted tomorrow," the brief statement said.

It will be recalled that on September 28, the European Commission presented proposals for the eighth package of sanctions against Russia.

In particular, the G7 countries have reached an agreement in principle to limit prices for Russian oil.

As reported in the Office of the President of Ukraine with reference to the European side, the work on sanctions against the Russian Federation should be completed before the start of the informal EU summit scheduled for October 7.
