The appointment of Major General Berdnikov as the new commander of the Western Military District of the Russian Federation was the fifth change of military commander in the last seven months, that is, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine.

In a conversation with Russian human rights defender and blogger Mark Feigin, military expert and adviser to the OP Oleksiy Arestovych called this event a sign of chaos among the military and political leadership of the aggressor country.

According to him, this shows that the Russian Federation is shaking and will soon "shake it completely".

Reflecting on the reaction of the Russian high-ranking army officers to such a "slump" in the leadership of the ZVO, Arestovych noted signs of a split among the Russian military, which over time, when the number turns into quality, will accelerate the process of this "shaking".

By the way, Mark Feigin specified that the new commander of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Major General Berdnikov, graduated from the Kyiv Suvorov Military School in 1991 and has combat experience in Syria.
