The first mobilized Russians began to surrender to the Defense Forces of Ukraine with the help of the "I want to live" project.

One of them spoke about his experience.

This was reported in the Ukrainian Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

There they told the story of 26-year-old Russian Mykhailo Kulikov from Orsk.

The man was sent to fight against Ukraine five days after receiving the summons.

While still in the Russian Federation, the mobilized person called the "hotline" of the "I want to live" project and received instructions on how to correctly and safely surrender to the Ukrainians.

"My name is Mykhailo Oleksiiovych Kulikov. I was born on April 20, 1994, in Orsk, Orenburg region. On September 21 of this year, I received a summons: medical commission, dispatch to a military unit. On the 25th, I was already in Ukraine.

Before going to the medical commission, I googled, how can you surrender to a prisoner so as not to be killed.

I found the Telegram channel "I want to live". This is a state program of Ukraine. I found a number there,

called. They explained to me what to do,

where to get out, what to say so that I would not be killed ", the mobilized person shared his story.

Please note that in order to surrender, you can call the following numbers:

+38-066-580-34-98, +38-093-119-29-84.

Chatbot "I want to live" (https://t.me/spasisebyabot) was also created, where applications from military personnel are accepted.

We will remind you that on September 28, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky once again appealed to the mobilized Russians, if they want to live, flee and surrender to the Armed Forces.
