The final results of yesterday's election should be announced by Thursday.

This became clear at a CEC briefing.

The processing of the election papers continues, said Prof. Tsvetozar Tomov from the CEC.

Then the final voter turnout will become clear.

He announced that he would not say which parties will enter the 48th National Assembly and asked journalists not to ask him for such information.

"From the data so far, it is clear that a little over 2.5 million people voted. They will change a little more, but not significantly.

So I can safely say that these are the parliamentary elections with the lowest voter turnout of all conducted since 1990,

" said Prof. Tomov.

If NSI had announced the census data earlier, it would have affected the distribution of mandates in electoral districts, commented Tsvetozar Tomov.

The CEC expects to receive the results of all sections by the end of the day.

This is followed by data re-entry and other processing steps that may slightly affect party results.
