The police detained a 50-year-old local resident for the

60-year-old man.

This was reported in the press service of the police of the Cherkasy region.

As it became known, the suspect was drinking with a friend, and then beat him and strangled him, putting a plastic bag on his head.

The man's body was discovered by local residents in the premises of the former printing house.

The policemen seized material evidence and detained the offender in procedural order, and placed him in custody.

He admitted what he had done.

The perpetrator was informed of the suspicion of having committed a criminal offense under Part 1 of Art.

115 (Intentional murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The suspect was remanded in custody.

Now the criminal faces from seven to fifteen years.

The investigation is ongoing.

It will be recalled that in Zaporizhzhia, an attacker killed a friend, and then his mother, so that she would not "surrender" him to the police.
