Delhi Police has registered an FIR against Popular Front of India

at

Shaheen Bagh Police Station.

This case has been registered against PFI and 7 organizations associated with it last Thursday.

Delhi Police has

filed a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act

(UAPA) .

A few days ago, raids were also conducted on many of its locations including the office of PFI located in Shaheen Bagh, Delhi.

The Center recently banned the organization for five years, after two rounds of nationwide raids and the arrest of over 240 leaders and office bearers of the Popular Front of India (PFI).

Along with this, its Twitter account has also been closed.

In many states including Assam, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Delhi, police raids were also conducted at the houses of the workers of Popular Front of India.

In this action 247 people were taken into custody.

44 people were detained in Uttar Pradesh, 72 in Karnataka, 20 in Assam, 32 in Delhi, 43 in Maharashtra, 15 in Gujarat, 21 in MP.

Ayodhya Police on Sunday arrested another activist of the banned Popular Front of India (PFI).

According to the police, the accused was involved in anti-national activities and was inciting Muslims against the Hindu community as well as targeting the Hindu community with terrorist activities.

The arrested accused Mohammad Zaid is an active member of Tabligi Jamaat and is also an alumnus of Nadwa, a famous Islamic seminary based in Lucknow.
