Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will become the new head of the Conservative Party friendship group with Ukraine.

This is reported by "European Truth".

The current head of the group, the ex-minister of culture of Great Britain, John Whittingdale, announced his successor at the Congress of the Conservative Party.

He became the favorite of millions of Ukrainians, ex-prime minister of Great Britain Boris Johnson.

According to Whittingdale, Johnson is "in many ways the most obvious and most worthy person to lead this organization, because he was the first person, not only in this country, but in the entire Western world, who came out so decisively in support of the Ukrainian people." .

Boris Johnson himself was absent at the event.

"Boris regrets that he cannot be with us today, but he expressed his full support for what we all believe in and our continued support for Ukraine," Whittingdale said.

We will remind that President Volodymyr Zelenskyi held a final conversation with Prime Minister of Great Britain Boris Johnson.
