A video of the Durga Puja pandal which was set on fire in Bhadohi's Aurai has surfaced.

It can be clearly seen in the video that fire safety rules have not been followed.

The entrance of the puja pandal was narrow and some shiny plastic thing was installed to decorate that path.

Because of this the fire was caught immediately and no one got a chance to get out.

In the video that has come out of the Pooja Pandal, it can be clearly seen that the material used for decoration is inflammable.

Guidelines regarding fire safety are also issued before giving license to worship pandals.

But here fire safety rules have not been followed.

Explain that five people, including three children, were killed and more than 66 people were burnt to death due to a fire at a Durga Puja pandal in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh.

Among the injured, 42 were referred to Varanasi, 18 to Aurai and 4 to Prayagraj for treatment.

Bhadohi District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi told that the incident is of a Durga pandal located in Aurai town.

Around 200 people were present in the pandal during the incident.

Aarti's program was going on, during this time there is a report of fire due to short circuit.

According to the information so far in the incident, 66 people have been burnt.

The injured have been admitted to different hospitals.
