The election day in Razgrad region started normally, with all 226 sectional election commissions open, the Chairman of the District Election Commission, Huban Sokolov, told BTA.

He explained that in several sections in the region members did not show up, but this did not prevent the start of the election day.

Their replacement is being organized.

So far, there have been reports of problems with the machines at two of the polling stations, which are being fixed by technicians.

The day for reflection also passed without violations.

The number of sections in which voting will be done with paper ballots is 59, and in the remaining 167 sections voting will be by machine.

There are 31 mobile polling stations in the region.  

120 candidates nominated by 22 parties and six coalitions are competing for the trust of voters in the region.

The youngest candidate for deputy in Razgradsko is 22 years old, and the oldest is 76 years old.

In the previous parliamentary elections, 119 candidate MPs appeared, included in 27 party and coalition lists.

A total of 132,454 citizens in the district, or 481 less than the vote on November 14 of this year.

In Razgrad municipality alone, 552 young people are expected to vote for the first time, and the oldest voters in the municipality are 99-year-old residents of Razgrad and the village of Prostorno.
