A policeman was killed and a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan was injured in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.

In a tweet from the Kashmir Zone Police, it has been said that the terrorists opened fire on the joint Naka party of CRPF and Police in Pingalana, Pulwama.

In this terrorist attack, 1 policeman was martyred and 1 CRPF jawan was injured.

It has been said from the police that additional police force has been deployed in the area.

Also the entire area has been cordoned off.

The attack comes hours after an encounter in Shopian where a Lashkar terrorist was killed after a three-hour operation.

Significantly, Home Minister Amit Shah will reach Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow on a three-day visit.

Apart from reviewing the security situation, Shah will also address two rallies in Rajouri and Baramulla districts.
