[Reporter Lin Huiqin/Taipei Report] Zhuang Renxiang, a spokesman for the Central Epidemic Command Center, announced today that there were 43,241 new cases of Wuhan pneumonia (new coronavirus disease, COVID-19) in the local area, an increase of 0.5% from yesterday and an increase of 11.5% from last Sunday. It has been rising for a week in a row compared to the same period last week; 62 new deaths have been reported.

In addition, there were 66 new cases of overseas immigration.

There were 43,241 new local cases, including 20,227 males, 23,000 females, and 14 under investigation; the age ranged from under 5 years old to over 90 years old; the distribution of cases was New Taipei City (8,789 cases), Taichung City (5,475 cases) , Taipei City (4,848 cases), Taoyuan City (4,661 cases), Kaohsiung City (3,932 cases), Tainan City (3,025 cases), Changhua County (2,337 cases), Hsinchu County (1,217 cases), Yilan County (1,131 cases), Pingtung County (1,109 cases), Hsinchu City (1,056 cases), Miaoli County (1,009 cases), Yunlin County (889 cases), Keelung City (767 cases), Chiayi County (750 cases), Nantou County (652 cases) , Hualien County (562 cases), Chiayi City (424 cases), Taitung County (358 cases), Kinmen County (131 cases), Penghu County (99 cases), Lianjiang County (20 cases).

There were 62 new deaths, 39 males and 23 females, aged in their 50s to over 90s, all with severe infections, 58 with a history of chronic disease, and 45 without 3 or more doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The date of diagnosis was between August 12 and September 29 this year, and the date of death was between September 18 and September 29.

There were 66 new imported cases, 38 males and 28 females, aged between 5 and 80 years old, from the United States, South Korea, Thailand and China (2 cases each), Singapore, France, the Netherlands and China. Germany (1 case each) moved in.

Another 54 cases of infection are under national investigation.

The entry date is from September 1 to October 1 this year.

According to the statistics of the command center, as of now, there have been 6,547,708 confirmed cases in China, including 34,972 imported cases, 6,512,682 local cases, 36 Dunmu Fleet cases, 3 aircraft infections, 1 case unknown and 14 cases under investigation.

Of these, 11,163 died, including 11,147 indigenous and 16 imported.
