Superstition has again taken the life of an innocent.

The incident is from Delhi's Lodhi Colony area.

According to the information received from the police, two youths have killed a six-year-old child by slitting his throat.

It has been found in the investigation that the accused have committed this murder in the name of sacrificing.

Police have arrested both the accused till now.

Along with this, the body of the child has been sent for postmortem.

The arrested accused have been identified as Vijay Kumar and Ajay Kumar. 

A senior police officer said that in the investigation so far, it has been found that on the night of October 1, some laborers were performing a program of bhajan kirtan inside the CRPF headquarters of Lodhi Colony.

During this, he found his six-year-old child missing from there.

After this he started looking for the child.

While searching for the child, when some people reached a nearby slum, they saw blood oozing outside a room there.

After this, he went to the room and saw that both the accused were trying to hide the body of the child there.

After this both the accused were caught by the common people and after that the police was informed about the whole matter.

The officer said that both the accused were intoxicated when they were arrested.

During the initial interrogation, the accused told the police that they had killed the child in the name of sacrifice so that they could please God.
