Just over 1,100 people vote in detention centers and prisons in the country.

These are the accused and defendants who do not have an effective sentence as of the date of the elections, the Ministry of Justice reports.

There will be polling stations in all 12 prisons, as well as in 10 detention centers.

The largest number of voters are expected to be in the custody of the National Investigation Service - over 180 people, as well as in the prison in Sofia - nearly 100.

According to the Election Code, a polling station is formed when there are no less than ten voters.

At a special meeting a few days ago, the management of the prisons informed the Minister of Justice Krum Zarkov
