Despite the enemy's activity in Donetsk region, the Armed Forces have completely liberated Liman and are controlling it, today they are finally entrenched in it.

On the road along which the Ukrainian army launched an offensive, there is an incredible amount of burned equipment of the invaders.

Because the armed forces, as the soldiers themselves say, "boiled" the invaders in the Lyman cauldron.

The Russians asked three times for the corridor to withdraw their forces, and after the refusal, not even sparing their own, the Russians hit the Liman with aviation and artillery, firing several hundred shells and rockets.

This shelling was rather agony before losing control over the settlement.

Not all Russians were able to escape.

"They were smashed like that. First of all, it was their supply warehouses. They were destroyed. Large knots, they hit the places of concentration. We knew for a long time where they were located, who they were and how they did it all. Their logistics routes were also cut off. This gave will allow us to close the ring and "boil" them in this cauldron, those who remained," says a serviceman of the National Guard of Ukraine, battalion to them.

Dmytro Kulchytsy, Hero of Ukraine.

The operation to free Liman lasted more than one week.

Our amphibious assault troops and units of the National Guard were able to surround the Liman from three sides, which completely blocked any communication of the Russians with the still occupied territories.

The de-occupation of nearby Drobyshevy played a significant role in this, say the army.

The complete environment in which the occupiers found themselves left them without any support.

"We saw from the radio intercept that they were panicking: why isn't the artillery firing? Where is our artillery. They grabbed their hot asses, realized that they were burning more and started to leave," the soldiers said.

And while the Ukrainian artillery crushed the Russian sub-units, the attack aircraft entered the city.

And when the Russian soldiers realized that there was nowhere to run, they resorted to old methods, abandoned their wounded and dead and disguised themselves as civilians, and tried to leave on foot.

"They decided that we should leave the loan lease, change into civilian clothes and get out of there in different directions. Not everyone succeeded," says "Mustang".

"The fled, taking with them everything they could carry in their hands, left a pile of BC. Their two hundred, they are simply enough there," - adds Dmytro.

But this operation to liberate Liman and its surroundings will definitely go down in the textbooks of victories of the Armed Forces, and not only because the loss of the city is a political failure of Russia, as international experts say, but also because it was a complete encirclement of the Russian army with no chance of escape.

Now in Lyman, the military is finishing cleaning.

Because the occupiers may still be hiding in the basements of the buildings.

"We are still checking the people who stayed there. Quarters, basements, because there was a lot of information that 30 people hid there, 10 people hid there," the fighters said.

In addition, the defeat of the Russians in the battle for Lymani is strategic - the city itself is key at the crossroads with the still occupied Luhansk region.

So now the Russians do not have stable communication routes between their units, which means that soon you will be able to hear about another town liberated by the Armed Forces.
