The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi is planning a visit to Kyiv and Moscow.

The main purpose of the visit is to create a security zone around the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP.

This is reported by Reuters.

"General Director Grossi continues to conduct consultations and make other efforts aimed at

agreeing and establishing as soon as possible a zone of physical and technical security around the ZNPP

. He is expected to visit Kyiv and Moscow next week," the statement said.

It will be recalled that on September 30, the Russian occupiers detained the general director of the Zaporizhzhya NPP Igor Murashov.

The IAEA appealed to the Russian authorities with a request to provide an explanation in connection with reports of the detention of the director general.

In Britain, they reacted to Murashov's abduction and called such actions of the Russian occupiers a crime and emphasized that Russia undermines the safe management of the station.
