Ukraine is a de facto member of NATO, with de jure formalization remaining.

This should be done without an action plan for the membership.

According to APA, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine said this in his statement to the Ukrainian press.

"The next step is for all members of the Alliance to ratify Ukraine's application for membership.

However, no consensus has been reached yet... However, as a person in contact with Stoltenberg, I can say that the Secretary General thinks that Ukraine will become a member of NATO.

But he can work on this issue only after reaching a consensus," the diplomat said.

"Now we say simply: Ukraine is a de facto member of NATO, leaving only de jure formalization.

This should be done as soon as possible and without an action plan for membership," Kuleba stressed.
