New Delhi:

Delhi Police's Southern Range Crime team busted the gang of inter-state autolifters and arrested two people.

11 expensive bikes have been recovered from them.

Both the accused are residents of Manipur.

Crime Branch DCP Rajesh Dev told that the team of ACP Naresh Solanki and Inspector Vijay Pal Dahiya got information about the activities of this gang on September 27.

After this it came to know that the accused are going to come to Okhla Vihar.

A bullet motorcycle was stopped in Okhla area by laying a trap on 28 September and two people were caught.

The accused have been identified as Moabdul Kalam alias Akhan and Syed Tadris Ali.

Investigation revealed that the bike he was riding was stolen from Delhi's Safdarjung Enclave area.

During further investigation, 10 more stolen motorcycles and bike lock breaking devices were recovered at the instance of the accused.

According to the police, this gang was very active for the past few days and used to steal high-end motorcycles especially bullet motorcycles and further sell them in Manipur through his associates Saidul and Tomathin.

Several master keys and lock sets have been seized from the rented accommodation of the accused persons.

The accused Syed Tadris Ali is a graduate.

Her father is a retired teacher.

He came to Delhi in 2015, but did not get any job and started stealing autos.

He is fond of Bullet motorcycle and always used to try to steal new Bullet motorcycle.

He was earlier found involved in 15 cases of vehicle theft.


While Moabdul Kalam alias Akhan used to run a shop in his village.

He has been found involved in a case under the NDPS Act.

He had come to participate in the court proceedings, but due to paucity of money, he got involved in vehicle theft.

Further investigation is being done in the matter.
