The Russian Federation's attempt to annex part of Ukrainian territories grossly violates the order of the International Court of Justice of the United Nations on temporary measures, which was issued on March 16 of this year.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, announced this on Twitter.

According to him, on this occasion, Ukraine appealed to the International Court of the United Nations in The Hague.

"Following Putin's attempted annexation, Ukraine officially notified the International Court of Justice that this move grossly violates the legally binding order on temporary measures issued on March 16.

We call on the court to consider the merits of the case as soon as possible," Kuleba wrote.

Following Putin's annexation attempts, Ukraine has officially informed the International Court of Justice that this step blatantly violates its legally binding Order on Provisional Measures issued on March 16th.

We urge the Court to hear the case on merits as soon as possible.
