The declaration of Ukraine's intention to join NATO under an accelerated procedure is not an improvisation of the authorities.

It seems that such a step was agreed with the USA in order to see the reaction of other member countries of the Alliance.

This opinion was expressed by the Russian oppositionist, lawyer Mark Feigin to Channel 24.

"This is not an improvisation,

it looks like a structure agreed upon, primarily by Washington,

to see how NATO countries will react to this issue," he said.

Feigin thinks that by July 2023, the members of the Alliance will be able to reach an agreement on Ukraine's membership, with the exception of two or three states.

Then, for example, the

USA can push NATO to accept the state into its membership.

At the same time, the lawyer noted that even if Ukraine were to join the Alliance, the NATO military would not fight with them for a certain period of time.

However, it is very important that the "nuclear umbrella" extends to the state.

"This is

the actual end of the war

, because then Moscow's main trump card disappears," Fagin emphasized.

We will remind you that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that on September 30, Ukraine

submitted an application

to join NATO under the accelerated procedure.

Note that, as political scientist Yaroslav Bozhko explained, war is not a direct legal obstacle to the entry of any state into the Alliance.
