The culprit of the tragedy of the Russian troops in Liman is the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.

It was he who insisted that the occupiers stay there, when there was almost no military expediency for this.

The advisor of the President's Office, Oleksiy Arestovych, told about this in a conversation with the Russian oppositionist, lawyer Mark Feigin.

"If we look for the reasons, the tragedy of the Liman group for the Russian side is completely, completely in the power of Putin.

He categorically insisted that it remain in place

. Although from a military point of view there was a certain reasonable sense, but it was necessary to withdraw them the day before yesterday, when there was still such possibility", said the advisor of the OP.

"But they didn't want to upset that the big event was the signing, accession, referendums and so on.

One and a half thousand people lay down there

, probably only because, as you can see, he (Putin - ed.) needed the date," Arestovych explained .

We will remind you that on October 1, the Ukrainian army took control of Lyman in Donetsk region, liberating the city from the invaders.

As the Armed Forces officially explained, after the liberation of Lyman, the gates will open for the defenders of Ukraine to liberate all of Donbas.
