[Reporter Chen Fengli / Nantou Report] Wuxi, the main river in central China, is one of the streams for many anglers to fish. Besides Shibin, Xige, and Goganzai, many people do not know that there is a freshwater fish that is classified as a national critically endangered fish. The "Silver Papilla" is limited to the Wuxi River Basin, and the braided stream in the middle reaches of the Wuxi River is their habitat hotspot.

In order to protect the "Papilla scorpion", the Nantou Forest Management Office and relevant units have established a cross-unit division of labor and cooperation platform. Today, a physical platform meeting was held, and it was decided to expand cooperation with the Farmland and Water Resources Department and the Expressway Bureau.

There are many species of fish in the Wuxi River Basin, and some of them are quite numerous, but the "Silver Papaver" is a national critically endangered level and needs to be protected together. The Forestry Bureau has commissioned the Taichung City Wildlife Conservation Society since 2018. Investigating the distribution of the silver beetle in Wuxi, it is found that the braided stream in the middle reaches of Wuxi is their important habitat.

The Nantou Forest Management Office also invited relevant units to set up a cross-unit division of labor and cooperation platform, and held the first physical platform meeting today.

The Nantou Forest Management Office pointed out that through the horizontal connection and communication of the platform, we can work together to carry out work such as restoration of the silver worm, habitat restoration, and shelter in the area and outside the area. The center has been rehabilitated. The Water Resources Bureau of the Central District and the Third River Bureau are also carrying out habitat restoration on the north and south banks of the Wuxi Xiwei Bridge. Monitor the number and distribution of ethnic groups, and be responsible for coordinating all units.

After discussion at the platform meeting, because the Wuxi River Basin is related to the irrigation facilities of the Farmland Water Conservancy Department, the National Highway No. 6 is also constructed along the Wuxi River Basin. Therefore, the Farmland Water Resources Department and the Expressway Bureau will be invited to join the division of labor and cooperation platform in the future.
