In the program "The Day Live" on Nova News, the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov

Nikola Stoyanov was born in 1976 in Sofia.

A law graduate at Sofia University reported that during today's visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the idea of bartering Bulgarian electricity for Azeri gas was developed in our country.

The barter is not about transporting electricity to them - this electricity, which will become theirs, will be traded by them here in Bulgaria, explained Stoyanov.

According to this scheme, we can get an additional 1 billion cubic meters per year, with which we can solve the gas problem.

Regarding a long-term contract for the supply of natural gas with Azerbaijan, we intend to talk about the expansion of the southern gas corridor, the economy minister said.

In response to a question about whether Bulgaria will send weapons to Ukraine after the new request from Kyiv, he said: "There is a decision of the Bulgarian parliament and we are obliged to adhere to this decision. We will strictly abide by the decision of the parliament. If the next parliament decides something different, my next colleague may make a different decision".
