The Swedish authorities have lifted the ban on arms and military equipment exports to Turkey, as a consequence of the country's candidacy for NATO membership, the office in charge of arms exports announced today, quoted by France Presse.

The lifting of the ban was one of the conditions set by Ankara for the acceptance of the Scandinavian country into the alliance, for which it is necessary for Turkey to also ratify the accession treaty, notes BTA.

Biden signed the ratification documents of Sweden and Finland to join NATO
