The Alliance is now monitoring what Russia is doing, because the aggressor state must understand that a nuclear war cannot be won.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said this at a briefing on September 30.

"We are seeing the strongest escalation since the beginning of the conflict - mobilization in Russia combined with crazy nuclear rhetoric and illegal annexation of parts of Ukraine. Putin is trying to convince us not to support Ukraine, but he will not succeed. And the message from NATO is that we will continue to support Ukraine." - said Stoltenberg.

The NATO Secretary General added that the Alliance is monitoring what Russia is doing.

"NATO is closely monitoring what Russia is doing. Russia must understand that a nuclear war cannot be won. And there will be very significant consequences for Russia if it uses nuclear weapons. This was clearly communicated to Russia. Therefore, we will continue to support Ukraine ", - said Stoltenberg.

It will be recalled that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin attempted to annex Ukrainian territories on September 30.

Putin, together with the leaders of the occupied Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, signed the "agreement" on the annexation of Ukrainian territories.

The Russian dictator also threatened Ukraine and called to "sit down at the negotiating table."

In response, President Zelenskyi said that Ukraine is applying to join NATO.
