On behalf of the member states (jurisdictions) of the North Asia region, Japan, South Korea, China, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Macau and my country are included. China was not selected this year.

At present, both sides of the Taiwan Strait are members of APG. Under the circumstance of China's comprehensive suppression of Taiwan's international space, APG, one of the major international anti-money laundering organizations, is one of the few international organizations in my country that can actively participate and become full members. APG is divided into North Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Pacific and Canada, New Zealand, Australia and the United States. It is not easy for my country to be appointed as the representative of North Asia again after 2005 and 2009.

The main task of APG regional representatives is to integrate the opinions of regional members on important issues of APG.

The members of the North Asia region include South Korea, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Mongolia, Macau and my country. Regional representatives are elected by the member countries for a one-year term and can be re-elected for one year.

The Executive Yuan's Office of Laundering and Prevention believes that being selected as the representative of the APG North Asia region will help deepen my country's participation in the affairs of international organizations and enhance my country's professional image and visibility in the international community.

APG was established in 1997 to effectively enforce international standards against money laundering and terrorist financing.
