Biden: Today the protection of the islands of the Pacific Ocean is more important than ever

Washington:

US

President

Joe Biden

has said that his country is committed to a free, open, stable and secure

Indo-Pacific

region.

He said that a large part of the world's history would be written in the coming years in this strategically important region.

The President addressed the leaders of a dozen Pacific island countries on Thursday in Washington.

A conference was held for the first time in which Biden expressed his views to discuss how to keep the Indo-Pacific region safe and protect these islands from the increasing influence of China.

Biden said, “Today the security of the Pacific and Pacific islands is more important to us than ever before.

The security of America and the world depends on your safety and the safety of the Pacific islands."

He said that the aim of this conference is to further deepen our commitment to each other and to build a common future in combating climate change.

The heads of state of Fiji, Solomon Islands, Micronesia, Papua New Guinea, Tuvalu, Marshall Islands, Palau, Samoa, Tonga, Polynesia, New Caledonia and Cook Islands attended this conference.

Biden said, “We are seeing the consequences of climate change around the world, including in the US.

Your country is also experiencing this.

This is an existential crisis for all of you."

"In light of the war between Kovid-19 and Russia, we are also committed to rebuilding the global economy to ensure a free, open, stable, secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific," he said.
