The American president emphasized that Putin showed contempt for the UN Charter and the entire international community by his decision.

The US will continue to support Ukraine in the war against Russia.

This is stated on the website of the White House.

Biden emphasized that the United States does not recognize Russia's annexation of part of Ukrainian territories.

"The United States condemns today's fraudulent attempt by Russia to annex sovereign Ukrainian territory. Russia violates international law, tramples on the Charter of the United Nations and everywhere demonstrates its contempt for peaceful nations," Biden said.

Biden emphasized that Russia should be condemned and punished for its attempt to annex Ukrainian territories.

He added that the US will continue to support the Armed Forces.

"

We will continue to provide Ukraine with equipment necessary for self-defense, despite Russia's brazen attempts to redraw its neighbor's borders.

And I look forward to the signing of a law by Congress that will provide an additional $12 billion to support Ukraine," Biden said in a statement.

It will be recalled that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin attempted to annex Ukrainian territories on September 30.

Putin, together with the leaders of the occupied Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, signed the "agreement" on the annexation of Ukrainian territories.

The Russian dictator also threatened Ukraine and called to "sit down at the negotiating table."

In response, President Zelenskyi said that Ukraine is applying to join NATO.

The United States also imposed sanctions against Russia due to its attempted annexation of Ukrainian territories.
