On Friday, September 30, Ukraine decided to apply for NATO membership.

The reaction from Russia did not take long.

The Kremlin considers Ukraine's application to join the Alliance "as an invitation to NATO to enter into a military conflict with the Russian Federation."

This was stated by the head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs and the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), Leonid Slutsky, Russian mass propaganda media write.

"Zelenskyi's words about Kyiv's application for accelerated accession to NATO sound like a direct invitation to the alliance to enter into a military conflict with Russia," said Leonid Slutskyi, a member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

We will remind that on Friday, September 30, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, also held another

meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-

in-Chief , during which the current situation at the front was discussed.

According to the results of the meeting, Ukraine decided to apply for NATO membership.

This will happen on an accelerated basis.

The Army of Ukraine has already proven that it meets all the standards of the Alliance, now only the legal component remains.
