The Ukrainian army has demonstrated effectiveness in terms of defensive and counter-offensive warfare, and therefore NATO should make certain changes and accept Ukraine into the Alliance.

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, said this on September 30 during the telethon.

"Preliminary consultations did take place. They took place over a period of time at the level of experts, the first heads of the state and the NATO bloc. Ukraine is breaking the rules of this bureaucratic promotion. Ukraine is not proceeding traditionally, it is breaking all this and saying that it is possible to take responsibility and immediately jump over several steps to obtain a result. And NATO will agree to this. Because today, from the point of view of formal rules, if there is a country that proves the effectiveness of the Alliance," explained Podolyak.

The adviser to the head of the President's Office noted that the world is now on the threshold of global changes, and therefore Russia in its current form must cease to exist.

"In Ukraine, the army occupies a leading position from the point of view of defensive and counteroffensive warfare of a modern type, then NATO will definitely meet and change certain rules. And this is key, because it will be symbolic and important: both for Ukraine and for NATO. Because today the world is really stands on the threshold of global changes. The world can make a key decision that Russia in its current form should cease to exist. Russia should be a transformed state. This will be done by Ukraine and the civilized world. And that is why it is possible for Ukraine to join NATO much faster," explained Podolyak.

It will be recalled that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin attempted to annex Ukrainian territories on September 30.

Putin, together with the leaders of the occupied Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya and Kherson regions, signed the "agreement" on the annexation of Ukrainian territories.

The Russian dictator also threatened Ukraine and called to "sit down at the negotiating table."

In response, President Zelenskyi said that Ukraine is applying to join NATO.
