Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma hit out at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying he lacks systematic seriousness.

In an interview to news agency ANI, Sarma said that Rahul Gandhi is "not fit for politics" as he wants to grab power without responsibility.

Sarma, who was in the Congress for more than two decades, said that when he was in the Congress, he had told the party leadership that he would lose the Northeast without any corrective steps.

After this, Sarma joined the BJP in 2015. 

Sarma accused Rahul Gandhi of not being serious as a politician and called him arrogant.

Sarma said that Rahul Gandhi behaves like a "feudal lord".

Sarma said, "The first thing is that he is not fit for politics, perhaps, he is doing what he should not be doing."

The Assam CM said, "Rahul Gandhi would sometimes leave the meeting and go for jogging, sometimes he would suddenly leave the meeting and go to another room and return after half an hour. There is no 'systematic seriousness' in him."

Sarma said that Rahul Gandhi, who is on a 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, had stepped down as president, taking moral responsibility for the party's defeat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and his own defeat from Amethi, but Even today, he continues to take important decisions of the party.
