What date is Teacher's Day 2022 in Ukraine
Traditionally, Ukrainians celebrate Teacher's Day on the first Sunday of October.
So, in 2022, the holiday falls on the 2nd.
It is customary to congratulate not only teachers, but also all teachers in general.
Earlier, children in schools gave their teachers songs on Teacher's Day, taught poems and brought gifts in the form of bouquets of flowers.
Even now, when many children continue to study online due to martial law and the war in Ukraine, you can sing a song together on Teacher's Day.

Teacher's Day: the history of the holiday
For the first time, such an important public holiday as Teacher's Day was celebrated in a small school in the city of Sao Paulo (Brazil).
Almost 200 years before that, the Brazilian emperor Pedro I issued the Decree on Primary Education.
According to him, every settlement of the country should have at least one school where children will be taught the alphabet.
The first celebration took place in 1947.
Then teachers and students organized a small treat and brought home baked goods to the school.
Teacher's Day in Ukraine began to be celebrated only 28 years ago.
This is a non-working day, because the holiday always falls on a Sunday.
However, for teachers and pedagogues, schools traditionally organize various festive events the day before (on Friday or Saturday).
The main purpose of this day is to thank teachers for their hard work.
What to give on Teacher's Day
If you want to be more original and not give your favorite teacher an ordinary bouquet of flowers, it is better to think about gifts in advance.
In general, the best gift for Teacher's Day will be the student's diligence in learning, but you can also present small souvenirs:
book store certificate;
a set of coffee or tea in a gift package;
a basket of fruit or chocolate;
set of notebooks;
a photo album with photos of your class.
