So, musician

Roger Waters

was officially recognized as persona non grata in Krakow.

The city council made a corresponding resolution.

This decision was made

due to the scandalous public statements of the

Pink Floyd

ex   -leader

about Ukraine.

"In view of Russia's criminal attack on Ukraine, as well as new war crimes committed by Russian soldiers, the advisers of the Royal Capital of Krakow express outrage at the theses and statements of Mr. Roger Waters regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, the advisers recognize that as Mr. Roger Waters, as well as any other person who publicly praises, supports or otherwise supports the Kremlin regime, will be treated in Krakow as persona non grata," the Krakow City Council said in a decision.

The resolution was adopted by the city council at a session on Wednesday, September 28.

40 deputies voted for the resolution, none were against, writes krknews.pl.

It should be noted that the impetus for such a decision was the concerts of the former leader of the legendary band Pink Floyd, announced in the spring of 2023 in Poland.

When it was announced that tickets for two performances by Roger Waters would go on sale, Lukasz Vantuch, a member of the board of Druzhny Kraków, initiated an action aimed at canceling these concerts.

We will remind that the ex-leader of the band Pink Floyd Roger Waters previously

wrote an open letter to the first lady

Olena Zelenska.

In it, the musician called on Ukraine to give up Western weapons and make concessions in negotiations with the aggressor country.

Waters also offered the president of Ukraine to "stop the civil war in the East of the country, establish peace in Donbas and grant partial autonomy to Donetsk and Luhansk."

In addition, Roger Waters also

supported the annexation of Crimea

and stated that the Russian authorities "have the right to Sevastopol".
