Aware of the reality of the nuclear threat, the United States sends appropriate signals to the Kremlin.

Oksana Markarova, the ambassador of Ukraine to the USA, told about this in an interview with "European Truth".

She drew attention to the fact that Russia draws the "nuclear card" every time it loses.

"That's why the United States is seriously monitoring this, we saw the reaction of President Biden in a recent interview with the CBS channel...

Everyone feels that the danger from Russia is high

, because the Russian Federation and Putin have already crossed a lot of "red lines", - said the diplomat .

Markarova assured that despite the seriousness of Washington's perception of the nuclear threat, she "does not see fear".

"Putin is not achieving with his threats what he wanted to achieve. Despite the fact that everyone is watching this closely, aid to Ukraine is increasing. And

no one is afraid of this blackmail

," said the ambassador.

She also talked about signals from the US to the Russian authorities in the context of nuclear blackmail.

"Any responsible leader cannot reject this and say: this is blackmail, we will not pay attention to it at all. That is why the signals are so strong, that is why I am sure that our strategic partner

sends these signals not only publicly,

and we know it , we hear in the public space," the diplomat said.

At the same time, Markarova did not answer the question whether the US had decided what Russia's response would be in the event of a nuclear attack.

However, she referred to the statement of the country's president, Joe Biden, who warned the Russian Federation of catastrophic consequences.

"Any use of nuclear weapons by a nuclear country against a non-nuclear country is a complete destruction of the entire world security system, of the deterrence that nuclear weapons carry," the ambassador added.

Note that Russia periodically threatens to use nuclear weapons.

Yes, one of the statements on this topic was made on September 25 by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov.

He said that all Russian laws and doctrines, including the nuclear one, will also apply to the territory of Ukraine "joined" through "referendums" in case they are enshrined in the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

US President Joe Biden warned Russian dictator Vladimir Putin that the use of weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine would have serious consequences for the aggressor country.
