Russian President Vladimir Putin will not use nuclear weapons in a war against Ukraine.

He will be stopped by the West and his own environment.

Russian human rights defender Mark Feigin said this in an exclusive interview with OBOZREVATEL.

Fagin believes that everything depends on how firm the West will show.

"If the West takes a firm position, if it repeats every time what the use of nuclear weapons will lead to, and demonstrates that it is ready to do everything it promises, Putin will not dare. More precisely, his entourage will not dare," said the human rights defender.

In this context, he noted that the capabilities of NATO cannot be compared with the capabilities of the Russian army, and in the event of a real use of nuclear weapons, the aggressor risks losing everything.

"What is the point of using nuclear weapons if in response you get Tomahawks on the territory of Russia, on the occupied territory, on the Crimea, on the troops, on the clusters. You will simply get rid of this entire army and all these mobilized people almost at once," Feigin said.

Fagin also believes that Putin's entourage will stop him.

"They can say: "No, Volodya, this is already "that match".

Let's try to fight mobilized, but no tactical nuclear charges, let's be more careful with this,'' said the human rights defender.

It will be recalled that the mobilized Russian troops may try to advance on Kyiv and Chernihiv from the side of Belarus.

After all, the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin desperately wants to repeat the attack on the Ukrainian capital.
